Janis Joplin: interviews and concert footage, plus she goes to her high school reunion! (Video)

The O'Jays - Back Stabbers
Be like Halley! You gotta have this classic album. (CD)

The Essential Etta James. You can't get much more essential than Etta. (2 CDs)

Mississippi John Hurt Memorial Anthology
A national treasure doing his thing live. (2 CDs)

Stone Temple Pilots
Tiny Music
A neglected masterpiece in the tradition of the Beatles. (CD)

Sharp Minidisc Recorder.
We use one to tape our shows. Super-high quality, and much cheaper than a portable DAT recorder!

Set of 4 Tae-Bo videotapes. It may be trendy, but it works. This is how we stay in shape.

South Park: Bigger, Longer, and Uncut.Even people who don't like the show love this movie! (DVD)

Mike Farley's On the Edge of Somewhere.
Great pop-rock. Who knew Rockville Centre, NY would spawn TWO songwriting geniuses? (CD)

Phllips TiVo Personal TV Receiver. For the serious couch potato. Beats your VCR the way the Internet beats your little black book.

John Hiatt's Slow Turning. Any record by this guy is brilliant, but this is one of our favorites. It's a great introduction to Hiatt for those who know him only as the writer of Bonnie Raitt's hit "Thing Called Love." (CD)

PJ Harvey's 1998 album Is This Desire? is dark, moody and delicious. (CD)

On Mirror Ball Neil Young is solidly backed by Pearl Jam. It's a raunchy festival of noise in Neil's best hard rocking tradition. (CD)

Weld is Neil Young's classic live set with Crazy Horse. We listen to this in the car constantly. Neil and the band just show how it's done, that's all. (2 CDs)

Patti Loveless's Greatest Hits.
Jon's favorite country singer. (CD)
